Industrial Estate: Sungai Tabuk Industrial Park
The Sungai Tabuk Industrial Park is a strategic initiative to establish an integrated and sustainable industrial ecosystem centered on silica and bauxite. This transformative project, spearheaded by PT Sungai Tabuk Industri (STI)—a subsidiary of CTL Holdings—aims to revolutionize Indonesia’s industrial sector through advanced downstream processing and value-added production.
Strategic Vision
The industrial estate will focus on producing Hyper HPQ (High Purity Quartz), a high-quality raw material essential for silicon production. Silicon, in turn, serves as a key component in the manufacturing of semiconductor chips, a cornerstone of the global technology industry. Additionally, the estate plans to house alumina production facilities, supporting Indonesia’s push for downstream bauxite processing.
Site Overview
Located in Pantai Lunci, Sukamara Regency, Central Kalimantan Province, the industrial estate spans 5,000 hectares, comprising:
- 400 hectares of APL land (currently controlled).
- 105 hectares of APL land (pending acquisition).
- Remaining areas designated as HP land (in the process of being released).
The Sungai Tabuk Industrial Park holds the prestigious status of a National Strategic Project (PSN) as designated by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Regulation No. 12 of 2024, positioning it as a flagship initiative in Indonesia’s industrial development.
With its advanced infrastructure and strategic vision, the estate is set to become a pioneer in silica sand downstream processing, producing silicon ingots and silicon metal, the critical raw materials for semiconductor wafers.
Driving National and Technological Advancement
Through the establishment of this industrial park, PT STI is poised to propel technological innovation and enhance the value of Indonesia’s natural resources. The initiative is expected to significantly contribute to the nation’s industrial growth by promoting local resource utilization and increasing Indonesia’s competitiveness in the global market.
